BARBARA HIGGINS, CPCU, ASLI - Vice President
Ms. Higgins, a New Jersey native, began her insurance career as a technical assistant in the property department of Stewart Smith's Los Angeles office. She exhibited a natural ability to broker accounts and through a combination of hard work and many hours in the classroom taking I.E.A. courses, worked her way up to a broker position. In early 1986, she joined Canon Insurance Service, a Los Angeles wholesaler, who had recently opened a branch office in Arcadia. She was responsible for developing a book of property business. Her department was very successful but she yearned to be back in the mainstream of the Los Angeles E & S community. She joined Lemac & Associates in the latter part of December, 1986. Barbara was promoted to the position of Assistant Vice President in December, 1991. In October 1992, after 5 arduous years of studying and classroom work, she received her CPCU diploma. In 1998, she became one of the first people in the country to obtain the ASLI designation. In 2000 she was promoted to Vice President of Lemac & Associates. |
