DAVID J. GORIN - President, General Agency Division

David is a graduate of University of California - Berkeley where he received his B.A. degree. He began his insurance career in 1977 as an underwriting trainee in the Los Angeles Branch of a national underwriting management firm, where he ultimately rose to Home Office Vice President of Special Risk Casualty, with responsibility for underwriting in sixteen branch offices.
During his tenure, he helped open an expansion office for the company, formed to cover the five southernmost counties of California. As Marketing Manager during the first year in the Orange, California branch office, he developed and implemented a New Business Development Program, and coordinated public relations in the territory covered by the Orange Branch Office. He then served as Casualty Manager until promoted to Home office in 1984.

In 1986 David joined a global broking firm in their Irvine, California branch office as Vice President in charge of Marketing, Claims and Risk Control with a staff of seventeen people.

In 1993 he assumed management of the Glendale, California branch office of another national specialty underwriting firm and oversaw the merger of the office with two local firms that were purchased in 1994.

David joined Lemac & Associates in 1998 as president of the newly formed General Agency Division. In addition to his duties with Lemac, David also serves on the Board of Directors of the Insurance Brokers' Society of Orange County.
